Raymond Gendron was born in Sorel, Québec. He started his career in 1974 as a professional illustrator in Montréal and rapidly became a leading artist in this field: “ the high standards required in this field of endeavor forced me to bring to my work a rigorous technique and total dedication”.
After three decades as an illustrator, Mr. Gendron dedicated the last fifteen years to painting. He gives essentially personal touch to his portrait works. His classical approach and simplicity of interpretation give a timeless depth to his work. Light and expression are for him the determining factors in the success of his painting.
